Start/Stop Disable Solutions — Take Full Control of Your Engine

Start/Stop Disable at ECU level for 32 vehicle manufacturers and 192 ECU variants. Eliminates fault codes, supports off-road, motorsport, agri and HGV applications. Bosch, Marelli, Cummins, Delphi and more.

Automatic Start/Stop — the system that cuts the engine when you stop at a red light and restarts it when you lift off the brake — was sold to drivers as a fuel-saving feature. In practice it's one of the most-disabled features in modern cars. The constant cycling wears the starter motor and battery faster than the equivalent steady-state running would, the restart hesitation in fast-moving traffic is a real safety annoyance, and most drivers end up pressing the dashboard Start/Stop-off button every time they get in the car.

Our Start/Stop disable file removes the system permanently at ECU level. No more pressing the button. No warning lights. No fault codes. Original tuning preserved. Available across most cars built since 2009.

What you get

  • Permanent deactivation of the automatic Start/Stop function at ECU level
  • No warning lights or stored fault codes
  • Factory tuning preserved — no impact on power, torque, fuel consumption or emissions logic outside of the Start/Stop subroutine
  • Software-only solution — no hardware modifications, no plug-in dongles, no spliced wiring
  • Fully reversible — re-flash the original file at any time to restore factory behaviour
  • Delivery typically within 24 hours, faster via the A.R.C.H.I.E. portal

Who it's for

  • Urban commuters tired of pressing the Start/Stop-off button every journey
  • Delivery and courier fleets running urban routes
  • Workshops and tuners providing the solution to their own customers
  • Drivers who've experienced starter motor or battery failures linked to excessive Start/Stop cycling

How the process works

  1. Read your ECU using a compatible tuning tool (KESS3, K-TAG, Autotuner, MPPS, Dimsport or similar)
  2. Submit the original file via the A.R.C.H.I.E. portal or directly via email
  3. We apply a tested patch to the Start/Stop logic and return the modified file
  4. Flash the patched file back to the ECU using your tool
  5. Drive away with Start/Stop permanently off

Is it legal?

Disabling Start/Stop is a comfort/preference modification, not an emissions modification — the engine continues to run under exactly the factory calibration while it's running. It doesn't impact emissions test results or the NEDC/WLTP cycle. However, modifying your ECU may affect manufacturer warranty terms and should be considered in the context of your local regulations. The customer is responsible for ensuring their use complies with local laws and warranty conditions.
