Master vs Slave

Which KESS3 is right for you?

Most independent tuners start with Slave and add Master later if they want to tune files in-house. There's no wrong answer — we'll talk through your workshop, your goals, and your budget before recommending one.

Slave — for network tuners
Read the ECU, send the file to A.R.C.H.I.E., flash it back. Fastest path to revenue. Lower up-front cost. Ideal if you're new to tuning or want a hands-off file workflow.
Master — for in-house tuning
Slave's full functionality PLUS the ability to open and edit the file yourself in Alientech ECM Titanium or similar. For workshops that want to tune from scratch.
Upgrade path either way
Start with Slave, decide later you want Master? No problem — we offer trade-in pricing on the upgrade. You're never locked in.
Both come with everything

Do I need previous tuning experience to buy a KESS3?

No. Many of our customers come from general diagnostic or mechanical backgrounds. Free BoostCo training covers setup, your first read/write, and your first paid job — we stay on the phone with you until you're confident.

What's actually in the box?

The KESS3 interface itself, full OBD/Bench/Boot cable set, 12-month Alientech subscription (covering the full 18,000+ vehicle protocol library and Cloud Assist), and our free training session. Master and Slave variants ship with identical hardware — the difference is software activation.

How fast is delivery?

Most KESS3 kits ship next working day from our Mullingar warehouse. UK and Ireland typically arrive within 1–2 working days; mainland Europe 2–4. We'll send tracking the moment it leaves us.

What does the 12-month subscription actually include?

Full Alientech protocol library (every supported vehicle), all firmware and software updates, and Cloud Assist for the full 12 months from activation. After 12 months we renew at BoostCo network pricing — meaningfully cheaper than buying retail renewal from Alientech direct.

Is the warranty handled by BoostCo or Alientech?

Both — Alientech provides the manufacturer warranty, and BoostCo is your single point of contact. If something fails, you call us. We handle the RMA, ship a replacement when needed, and keep you tuning while it's resolved.

What if I'm stuck on a tricky job at midnight?

Live human support runs Mon–Sat 07:00–21:00 GMT — phone, WhatsApp, chat. Outside those hours, A.R.C.H.I.E. is still online 24/7 to process files. We don't promise 3am answers, but most jobs can wait until 7am and we'll be there.

Can I see KESS3 in action before I buy?

Yes. Call or message us — for serious enquiries we'll do a video walkthrough of a real read/write on a current vehicle. If you're within reach of Mullingar, you're welcome to visit the workshop in person.
